Wine Week 195: Good dog!

October 22nd, 2010

There aren’t many single varietal Mataro wines made in Australia, so when there’s a good one its worth talking about… even when the name might make you think twice.

We also check out the recent release from one of Coonawarra’s old school producers and a Yarra Valley Chardonnay that continues to impress for not many dollars.

This week’s recommendations are:

  • Toolangi Chardonnay 2008 ($20-22)
  • Bowen Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 ($22-25)
  • Teusner The Dog Strangler 2009 ($20-$25)
