Wine Week 39: The A to Z of Italian varieties.
This week we look at three Italian grape varieties in a Wine Week special. The first comes from the white grape arneis. The second may be the best known of the Australian produced Italians in the form of the Chianti grape sangiovese. And the final wine comes from a grape popular not only in Italy, but California as well, zinfandel.
In this episode we recommend:
- Garry Crittenden i Arneis 2004 ($16-18)
- Coriole Sangiovese 2006 ($16-19)
- Cape Mentelle Zinfandel 2005 ($35-40)
