Wine Week 166: 888.
We’re looking at three very different wines from the 2008 vintage this week. The first ’8 is a bargain priced Shiraz from Taylors. This family owned winery from the Clare Valley in South Australia manage to turn out great quaffers year after year. The next is a German Riesling made in the dry (trocken) style. The Wittmann impressed many when we showed it at our recent tasting event balancing acid and fruit beautifully. To finish this week we check out a Pinot Noir from Mount Macleod, a small producer from Gippsland in Victoria.
