Wine Week 93: Dealing with the financial crisis.
With the world financial markets in crisis what should you be doing? Drinking Aussie wine, that’s what! With the exchange rate heading south this week we look at three wines all from South Australia, all from the 2006 vintage, which should be bargains no matter where you live. The first is a riesling from the Clare Valley. Our next wine is a slightly unusual blend from McLaren Vale. Lastly we look at a Barossa shiraz which picks and chooses grapes to get a great result.
In this episode we recommend:
- Annie’s Lane riesling 2006 ($14-17)
- Fox Creek JSM shiraz cabernets 2006 ($20-25)
- Yalumba Patchwork shiraz ($18-23)
