Wine Week 89: Wines to cellar at bargain prices.

September 12th, 2008

This week we feature a couple of wines which will have no problem going the long haul in your cellar. But best of all, they drink really well right now and don’t cost a small fortune. We look at a riesling from a producer who specialises in the grape which could happily be opened now or in 15 years. There’s also a Langhorne Creek shiraz that will happily cellar for 5 to 10 years. Our final wine this week is a McLaren Vale cabernet which is fine for drinking anytime over the next decade.

In this episode we recommend:

  • Bleasdale Bremerview shiraz 2005 ($14-16)
  • Pewsey Vale Eden Valley riesling 2007 ($15-17)
  • Kangarilla Road cabernet sauvignon 2006 ($19-25)
