Wine Week 65: Two big reds and an unusual white blend
This week we look at a typically big and rich McLaren Vale shiraz, but our other two wines each have something a bit different to offer. We take a look at a white blend of viognier and pinot gris which comes together nicely, and finally a pinot noir which will appeal to those who like their pinots a bit “bigger” in style.
In this episode we recommend:
- Penny’s Hill McLaren Vale Shiraz 2006 ($23-27)
- Heartland Viognier Pinot Gris 2006 ($17-20)
- Grosset Pinot Noir 2006 ($55-60)
