Wine Week 55: The best inexpensive shiraz ever?
This week we look at a wine which has been called by one extremely well respected reviewer ‘the finest inexpensive shiraz I’ve ever tasted’ and see if it lives up to the hype. As well we look at a riesling with a story behind the name. There’s also another shiraz which used to be hard to find down under.
We would like to pass on our condolences to those at Drayton Family Wines after the fatal explosion at the vineyard yesterday.
In this episode we recommend:
- Wirra Wirra The Lost Watch riesling 2007 ($14-18)
- Torbreck Woodcutter’s shiraz 2006 ($17-22)
- Shingleback McLaren Vale shiraz 2005 ($21-25)
