Wine Week 54: How much is that pinot in the wind-ow?
How inexpensive can a pinot noir be and still be a great drop? This week we manage to find one under $10 that has the big names talking it up as a terrific bargain. As well we look at a top quality Clare riesling and a big, bold Barossa shiraz with style and substance.
And we also announce the winners of our ‘Best Dozen of 07′ competition – congratulations to Alison Phillips and Darryl Douglas!
In this episode we recommend:
- Pikes Traditionale riesling 2007 ($17-22)
- De Bortoli Windy Peak pinot noir 2007 ($9-15)
- Kalleske Greenock shiraz 2005 ($38-42)
