Wine Week 51: Three surprise packets.
This week we look at three wines that are good enough to be much better than you might expect. The first is a seriously inexpensive cabernet which is much better than the price tag. The next is a rosé which is different in that it is much drier than your average sweet offering. Our final recommendation is a nebbiolo which stood out at a tasting against much more pricey bottles.
In this episode we recommend:
- Mike Press cabernet sauvignon 2006 ($10-13)
- Yering Station E.D. rosé 2007 ($17-20)
- Luke Lambert nebbiolo 2006 ($33-35)
