Wine Week 47: You may not know these wineries… yet.

November 16th, 2007

This week we check out three wines from producers that don’t have a big name in the market, but seem destined for bigger things. The first is a red blend from the Bendigo region which is available for just loose change. The second is a McLaren Vale shiraz-grenache that’s ideal for drinking right now. The final wine for this week is a great chardonnay from a region growing terrific versions of the variety.

In this episode we recommend:

  • Water Wheel Memsie 2006 ($8-12)
  • Paxton AAA shiraz grenache 2006 ($18-23)
  • Ashbrook Estate chardonnay 2005 ($23-28)
