Wine Week 44: Three absolute bargains.

October 26th, 2007

This week we look at three wines that are definitely bargains in anyone’s book. No surprises that our first wine is a riesling, but this one is in spare change territory. The next is a Coonawarra cabernet with 5 years bottle age yet is under $20. The last is a Heathcote shiraz that is a true bargain from a region where good cheap wine is hard to find.

In this episode we recommend:

  • Hardy’s Siegersdorf riesling 2006 ($8-10)
  • Richmond Grove Coonawarra cabernet sauvignon 2002 ($17-18)
  • White Box Heathcote shiraz 2005 ($15-18)
