Wine Week 33: Two unbelievable bargains and another great 04 Coonawarra.
It’s not often that you could grab two wines that each retail under $11 and know that you’re in for some great drinking, but this week we manage just that. The first is a semillon that is so inexpensive you’ll only need loose change to get hold of it. The next bargain is a late harvest semillon which doesn’t overplay the sweetness. And finally we look at another Coonawarra Cab. Sauv. from the great 04 vintage.
In this episode we recommend:
- Peter Lehmann Barossa Semillon 2005 ($8-10)
- Kalleske Lorraine Late Harvest Semillon 2006 ($10-12)
- Rymill Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 ($22-25)
