Wine Week 26: Bringing back the good stuff.
This week Danny returns from a trip through the Barossa and Clare Valleys and offers up a couple of great wines from the tour. He looks at a top flight riesling and a red that might solve the question of what wine to match with sushi. As well we check out a shiraz from a maker whose reputation continues to climb.
In this episode we recommend:
- Pauletts Polish Hill River Riesling 2006 ($16-18)
- Clonakilla Hilltops Shiraz 2006 ($25-30)
- Torbreck Cuvée Juveniles 2006 ($20-25)

Cheers guys for another interesting episode. I was just wandering what year the Paullets Riesling was?

Sorry for the terribly late reply Andrew! We realised that we left off the year just after putting the new episode up – as you’ve probably seen by now it was the 2006.
cheers

Off to Clonakilla today to try to get my hands on a bottle (or two) of this. Nice to add Canberra to your reviews. There is heaps of great wineries and wines up here. Clonakilla is no doubt one of the best.
