Wine Week 20: Because one of you suggested it…
This week we look at a New Zealand sauvignon blanc which was a recommendation from one of wine week’s loyal viewers. In the same episode we look at another of the great Coonawarra 04 cabernet sauvignons and a bargain shiraz from the Hunter Valley
In this episode we recommend:
- Oyster Bay Sauv. Blanc 2006 ($16-18)
- Mount Pleasant Philip Shiraz 2003 ($14-16)
- Balnaves of Coonwarra Cab. Sauv. 2004 ($27-32)

NZ Sauv Blancs are always exceptional. Even the Dog Point is a great drop, despite the name.
Will have to look into these babies, nothing like a nice Sauv Blanc.

The Philip is one of our favorite every day drinking reds, we managed to buy a case for under $10 per bottle, at that price I cannot think of a better value for money red.
Interesting you guys talking about drinking hunter reds “for a change”, as I often think about opening a barossa or victorian wine “for a change” up here
