Wine Week 22: No, you’re not seeing double…

May 25th, 2007

This week we look at two wines that are from the same producer, under the same label, but which come from different regions. As well we check out a stylish shiraz/viognier blend and a white which surprised us with its quality despite its youth – and price tag.

In this episode we recommend:

  • Tyrrell’s Rufus Stone Shiraz (McLaren Vale & Heathcote) 2005 ($17-22)
  • De Bortoli Windy Peak Sauv. Blanc / Semillon 2007 ($12-15)
  • Yering Station Shiraz Viognier 2006 ($18-23)

May 4th, 2007

This week we check out a contender for the title of Australia’s best riesling, and it’s one that won’t break the bank. • Seppelt Drumborg Riesling 2006 ($25-30)
