Wine Week 17: There’s chardonnay in them there hills!

April 20th, 2007

This week have a look at a chardonnay from a Mornington Peninsula producer that, unlike many of the wines from the region, isn’t overpriced. We also check out a bargain red blend from a producer who is better known for their top end offerings, and a big bodied shiraz from a vineyard who also supply grapes for the mighty Grange.

In this episode we recommend:

  • Red Hill Estate Chardonnay 2005 ($16-20)
  • Oliver’s Taranga Vineyards Shiraz 2004 ($24-28)
  • Cape Mentelle Marmaduke 2004 ($13-18)
