Wine Week 9: Something for the chardonnay set

February 23rd, 2007

This week we continue the trend of reviewing another grape variety that until now hasn’t appeared on Wine Week, with a chardonnay from a relative new-comer wining many friends for their great work. We also look at a warm climate shiraz from a vineyard with over 130 years experience and an inexpensive red blend that is getting great reviews from the critics.

In this episode we recommend:

  • Bailey’s of Glenrowan Shiraz 2004 ($17-22)
  • Leasingham Bastion Shiraz Cab. 2003 ($11-15)
  • Toolangi Estate Chardonnay 2004 ($34-39)
